Work on the N392 Tijnje–Terwispel
Along the county road (N392) there are many poplars. These trees are at the end of their lifespan and are beginning to lose large branches. To ensure the safety of road users along the provincial road, they need to be removed. After that, more trees will be replanted. From December this year, work will start along the provincial road the N392 between Tijnje and Terwispel. The work will be completed by mid-February 2026.
Update on activities

Due to recent weather conditions, the work schedule has been changed.
Update schedule
- Phase 3
Thursday, January 15 through Friday, January 23. Every working day from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Work will be carried out from the Terwispel roundabout to the A7.
- Phase 2
Monday, January 26 through Friday, January 30. Every working day from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Work will be carried out from the A7 to the Tijnje roundabout.
Replanting update
Due to delivery problems, the planned replanting of trees along the N392 cannot go ahead for the most part. However, we are currently carrying out the following work:
- Replant trees around the Tijnje roundabout
- Replant trees from Tijnje roundabout to hmp 11.5 on the south side (phase 1)
The remainder of the replanting will take place during the next planting season: late 2026 / early 2027. We are removing all trees now in order to ensure traffic safety along the road.
