Early warning
The goal of early signaling is to ensure that people do not get into debt. The municipality works with landlords, health insurers, energy suppliers and water companies to do this. Since Jan. 1, 2021, this has been in the Municipal Debt Relief Act (WGS).
Are you in arrears, for example with your health care premium? If so, the health insurer must first contact you to agree on a payment schedule. Do the arrears persist or are they increasing? Then we will be notified.
Finding a solution together
After we receive a report, we will contact you. We will send you a letter, call you or visit you. We ask if we can help you. Do you agree? Then we will let the organization where you are in arrears know. They will then stop the collection for 28 days. During that time, we will work together to see how we can resolve the payment arrears.
