Council members often have jobs, businesses or studies in addition to council work. To keep everything on track, the Municipal Clerk’s Office assists council members.
What does the Municipal Clerk’s Office do?
The Municipal Clerk’s Office s Office advises, supports and facilitates the City Council, individual council members and the Council President (the Mayor). The Municipal Clerk’s Office s Office schedules meetings, ensures complete and accurate meeting documents, and advises on proposals, methods and/or approaches. The Municipal Clerk’s Office s Office is independent and neutral. From this position, a Municipal Clerk’s Office s Office can professionally assist and advise a council member.
