Hemrik village support center
Hemrik, like most villages in Opsterland, has a village support center. You can go to the village support center for help and temporary support. For example, if you are (temporarily) unable to go shopping or walk the dog yourself. Or if you need to fill out difficult forms or have transportation problems. Do you need a listening ear, a walk or a nice chat? You are also welcome at the village support center.
This is how the village support center works:
The Village Support Center helps residents with questions or problems in a variety of areas. Your questions are always treated confidentially. We first look for a solution within the village, with the help of volunteers. Is that not possible or is professional help needed? Then we refer you to the Area Team or another institution.

Examples of questions to the village support center:
- I am having trouble with forms. Is there anyone who can help me?
- I would like to talk, bike or walk with someone from time to time. With whom can I do that?
- Where can I ask questions about my adolescent teen's alcohol and drug use?
- I am new to the village and would like to join something. What is there to do?
- Due to illness or old age, I can no longer do my yard work. Who can help me?
- I cannot take public transportation but still want to visit my family. What is possible?
- I need a wheelchair temporarily. Where can I get one?
- I don't understand the bill for 'co-payment'. Who can help me?
- How do I get home care if I need it?
