Ao's & BO's: how did that work again?
All Local Interest Groups will soon receive the invitation for this year's administrative consultation. We have noticed that there is sometimes confusion about which topics can be discussed where. That is why we are putting the original reasoning behind both consultations on paper:
Administrative Consultation
This consultation concerns the long-term policy for the village and the surrounding area. Examples include:
- Plans for housing construction
- Developing business parks
- Unsafe traffic situations
- Adjustment of (maintenance) programs of the municipality or other authorities and police
- Social issues (e.g., youth nuisance, anticipating changes in the population composition)
The consultation is also intended to introduce the council members and board members of Plaatselijk Belang to each other. We exchange information and gather initial reactions to ideas. We also discuss decisions that have been made.
Attendees: Board members of Plaatselijk Belang, the Mayor and Aldermen, the municipal secretary, and a delegation from the village team.
Administrative Consultation The consultation concerns management and development issues. These include:
- Preparing a zoning plan for residential construction
- Construction or major maintenance of a road in or near the village
- Construction of facilities for sports or social gatherings, for example, or refurbishment thereof
Complaints about public spaces will no longer be discussed in official consultations. Residents can report these in the 'Buiten Beter' app. Management staff will then deal with them.
Attendees: Board members of Plaatselijk Belang and a delegation from the village team. If the agenda requires it, a specialist civil servant may also attend.
