Ao's & BO's: what was the deal?
Soon all Local Interests will again receive the invitation to this year's board meeting. We have noticed that there is sometimes confusion about which topics can be discussed where. That is why we put the original ideas about both consultations on paper:
Bestuurlijk Overleg
This consultation is about the long-term policy of the village and its surroundings. For example:
- Housing development plans
- Developing business parks
- Unsafe traffic situations
- Adjustment of (maintenance) programs of the municipality or other authorities and police
- Social issues (e.g., youth nuisance, anticipating changing population composition)
The consultation is also for introductions between the college members and board members of Local Interest. We exchange information and get first reactions of ideas. We also talk about decisions that have been made.
Attendees: Board members of Local Interest, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, the town clerk and a delegation from the village team.
Official Consultation
The consultation deals with management and development issues. Examples include:
- The preparation of a zoning plan for residential development
- Construction or major maintenance of a road in or near the village
- Construction of facilities for sports or meetings, for example, or refurbishing them
Reports of complaints about public space are no longer discussed in official consultations. Residents can report these in the 'Buiten Beter' app. Management staff will handle these further.
Attendees: Board members of Local Interest and a delegation of the village team. If the agenda requires it, a specialist official can join the meeting.
