Voting from abroad

Will you be abroad during the European Parliament elections? For example, for work, study or vacation? And are you still registered in a Dutch municipality? Then vote by proxy or by letter.

Voting by proxy

When voting by proxy, you let someone else vote for you in a Dutch municipality. This is called authorization. That person in the Netherlands must also vote themselves. Are you a resident of Opsterland and do you want to arrange a written proxy? Then fill in the proxy form. Your request must reach us no later than Monday, June 3, 2024.

Vote by letter

Do you have a foreign mailing address? Then you can choose to vote by letter. You arrange this through the municipality of The Hague. The complete application, signed and with a copy of the valid Dutch identity document, must be received no later than May 10, 2024.
